Terms of use

Last updated: 13 April 2026. These terms of use are the same agreement as our terms and conditions. They govern your use of Caravan Guide (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the services offered through this website (the “Service”). By registering, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

The Service is operated from the United Kingdom and is intended primarily for users in the United Kingdom.

The same agreement is also published as Terms and conditions.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Caravan Guide platform (“Caravan Guide”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. About Caravan Guide

Caravan Guide is an online platform providing indicative caravan valuations, historical pricing data, valuation certificates, and related tools for traders, businesses, and individuals operating within the United Kingdom caravan market.

All valuations provided are generated using proprietary systems and are intended as guidance only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice.

The Service is operated from the United Kingdom and is intended primarily for users in the United Kingdom.

2. Account registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

  • provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information at all times;
  • not impersonate any person, business, or organisation, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • not register using a disposable, temporary, or deliberately misleading email address;
  • maintain the confidentiality and security of your login credentials;
  • notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account;
  • accept full responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may only hold one active account per individual unless explicitly authorised by us in writing. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, access free trials more than once, or exploit any feature of the Service is strictly prohibited.

We reserve the right to verify account information, refuse registration, or suspend accounts at our discretion and without notice.

3. Account use & access

Each subscription is licensed to a single named business entity and may only be used by the number of authorised users (seats) purchased. The following rules apply to all account holders:

  • Login credentials are personal and must not be shared with any person outside the licensed organisation.
  • Concurrent access beyond the seat limit included in your plan is prohibited.
  • You must not allow any third party to access the platform using your credentials, even temporarily.
  • You must not sell, transfer, sublicence, or otherwise make your account available to others.
  • You must not use a single account across multiple unrelated businesses unless you have purchased a plan explicitly covering multiple entities.

We reserve the right to monitor account usage patterns and to suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that credential sharing, seat circumvention, unauthorised access, or licence misuse is taking place.

Accounts found to be in breach of this section may be restricted, suspended, billed for additional seats retrospectively, or required to upgrade to an appropriate plan without refund of prior payments.

4. Business information & account data

You may be required to provide business information, including company names, email addresses, website details, and other identifying information, in order to use the platform.

You warrant that all such information is accurate, truthful, and relates to a real and legitimate business or individual. Submitting false, fabricated, or misleading business details is a material breach of these Terms.

We will store and process this information for the purposes of providing the Service, managing accounts, and communicating with you. We handle all personal data in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.

We may use aggregated and anonymised data derived from platform activity for analytics, product improvement, and commercial insights, provided such data does not identify any individual or business.

5. Subscription & payments

Certain features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree that:

  • you will pay all applicable fees promptly and in full;
  • payments are processed via third-party providers (for example Stripe) and you agree to their applicable terms;
  • subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date;
  • fees paid are non-refundable except where expressly required by applicable law;
  • you are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain valid and up to date.

Chargebacks and payment disputes. Initiating an unwarranted chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider in respect of a valid charge is a breach of these Terms. Where a chargeback is found to be unwarranted, we reserve the right to recover our reasonable costs, suspend your account pending resolution, and permanently ban your account from the Service.

Plan misrepresentation. Selecting a plan tier that does not accurately reflect your business size, usage volume, or number of users, with the intent of obtaining services at a lower rate than applicable, is prohibited. We may adjust your plan tier and billing accordingly if evidence of misrepresentation is found.

6. Acceptable use of the platform

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose;
  • attempt to scrape, copy, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform by automated or manual means beyond normal use;
  • use the platform to build, populate, or maintain any competing product, service, or database of caravan valuations;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to replicate our valuation systems, algorithms, or pricing logic;
  • republish, resell, or commercially distribute any valuation data obtained from the platform without our prior written consent;
  • attempt to access any part of the platform you are not authorised to access, including admin areas, other users’ accounts, or unpublished data;
  • introduce any virus, malware, trojan, denial-of-service attack, or other harmful code or material into the platform;
  • attempt to circumvent any security, rate-limiting, or access-control mechanism on the platform;
  • use the platform in a way that imposes unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
  • use scripts, bots, or automated tools to interact with the platform in a manner not expressly permitted;
  • use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm any other user or third party;
  • use the platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications;
  • post, upload, or transmit any content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.

We reserve the right to monitor usage and restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate access where misuse is detected or suspected, without prior notice.

7. User uploaded content & images

Users may be able to upload images or other content (“User Content”) to the platform. By uploading any content, you confirm and warrant that:

  • you are the original photographer or creator of the content and legally own all rights to it;
  • the content has not been taken, downloaded, or copied from any third-party website, search engine result (including Google Images), stock image library, social media platform, manufacturer brochure, or any other source you do not own;
  • the content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other intellectual property right of any third party;
  • no person appearing in the content has withheld consent for their image to be used in this manner;
  • the content has not been materially altered, manipulated, or digitally generated using AI image tools to misrepresent the subject;
  • the content accurately depicts the caravan, park, or subject matter it purports to represent;
  • the content does not contain any watermarks, logos, or identifying marks of other companies or photographers that you are not authorised to remove or reproduce.

We may review, reject, or remove any submitted content at any time at our sole discretion. Submission of content that does not meet these requirements (including images sourced from the internet or third parties) constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension and recovery of any payments made in respect of rejected content.

Image approval & payment

Where applicable, Caravan Guide may offer payment for approved images. Payment is made only after an image has been reviewed and accepted. No payment is due for rejected or removed submissions. We reserve the right to withdraw approval and reclaim payment where it is subsequently established that a submission was fraudulent, did not meet these requirements, or was obtained through misrepresentation.

Transfer of rights

Upon approval of an image and issuance of payment, you irrevocably assign to Caravan Guide all rights, title, and interest in and to the image, including all copyright and intellectual property rights, on a worldwide and perpetual basis.

This means Caravan Guide becomes the legal owner of the image and may use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display the image for any purpose without further compensation. You waive any moral rights in the content to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Valuation certificates

Where the platform offers valuation certificates (“Certificates”), the following rules apply:

  • Certificates may only be issued for genuine transactions, appraisals, or internal business purposes.
  • You must not issue Certificates for caravans you have not physically inspected or for which you do not have a legitimate business reason to obtain a valuation.
  • You must not present a Certificate as an independent, third-party, or professional valuation beyond the indicative guidance it represents.
  • You must not manipulate, alter, forge, or reproduce any Certificate document outside the platform’s official output.
  • You must not use Certificates as the sole basis for financial lending, insurance underwriting, or any regulated financial transaction without independent professional advice.
  • Issuing Certificates in bulk for the purpose of generating sales leads, inflating perceived credibility, or manipulating transaction values is prohibited.
  • You accept that Certificate values are guide-level indicators tied to the published edition date and may not reflect market conditions at the time of use.

Fraudulent or abusive use of the Certificate system may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of any Certificate allowance remaining on your plan, and referral to relevant authorities where applicable.

9. Trust badge

Subscribers on eligible plans may display the Caravan Guide trust badge (“Badge”) on their website and marketing materials. By doing so, you agree that:

  • the Badge may only be displayed while your subscription is active and in good standing;
  • you must remove the Badge promptly if your subscription lapses, is cancelled, or is terminated for any reason;
  • you must not modify, distort, recolour, or alter the Badge in any way;
  • you must not display the Badge on a website or in a context that implies endorsement of a product, service, or claim beyond the scope of the guide;
  • you must not display the Badge on behalf of any third-party business or entity that does not hold its own active subscription;
  • you must not use the Badge to imply that individual sold listings, independently obtained values, or non-guide prices are endorsed or verified by Caravan Guide.

We reserve the right to audit Badge use and require immediate removal from any website or material where it is displayed in breach of these Terms. Continued display of the Badge after subscription lapse or following a removal notice constitutes misuse of our intellectual property.

10. Referral programme

Where a referral programme is available, the following rules apply. Breach of any of these rules will result in forfeiture of all pending and future referral credits or commissions, and may result in account suspension:

  • No self-referrals. You may not use your own referral link to sign up for a new or additional account, or to refer any account you have a direct financial or operational interest in.
  • No fake or fabricated referrals. Creating fictitious accounts, using temporary email addresses, or enrolling individuals without their genuine knowledge or consent in order to generate referral credits is strictly prohibited.
  • No manipulation of referral tracking. Artificially manipulating referral cookies, links, or tracking parameters (for example by sharing referral links in spam, paying others to click them, or using bots) is prohibited.
  • No multi-accounting for referral gain. Registering multiple accounts with the intent of referring them to one another, or cycling accounts to accumulate credits, is prohibited.
  • Genuine referrals only. A qualifying referral is one where a new, independent subscriber signs up and completes a paid transaction via your link of their own free will, with no inducement beyond the normal description of the Service.
  • Referral credits or commissions are only earned on genuine new subscriptions as determined solely by us. We reserve the right to withhold, reverse, or reclaim credits where we have reasonable grounds to believe the referral does not meet these requirements.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue the referral programme at any time with reasonable notice.

11. API access

Access to the Caravan Guide API is a separate commercial add-on subject to additional agreement. All API users must also comply with the following:

  • API credentials (API keys, client IDs, client secrets, and tokens) are confidential and must not be shared, published, or transferred to any third party.
  • You must not embed API credentials in publicly accessible code repositories, client-side code, or any environment where they could be accessed by unauthorised parties.
  • Each API client credential may only be used by the organisation for which it was issued.
  • You must not attempt to circumvent or exceed rate limits by rotating credentials, distributing requests across multiple accounts, or any other method.
  • API access may not be used to build or populate a competing valuation product, service, or database.
  • You must not resell, sublicence, or white-label API access or data obtained via the API without our prior written consent.
  • You must not use the API to access data beyond the scope granted by your assigned API scopes.
  • We may revoke API credentials at any time without notice if we reasonably believe they are being misused.

Lost or compromised credentials must be reported to us immediately. We accept no liability for charges or data exposure resulting from failure to secure your credentials.

12. Automated access & scraping

You must not access the platform or its data by automated means except through the official API where you hold valid, authorised access. In particular:

  • You must not use bots, crawlers, scrapers, spiders, or similar automated tools to extract valuation data, search results, or any other content from the platform.
  • You must not cache, mirror, or reproduce platform content on any external system beyond what is reasonably required for your own authorised use.
  • You must not attempt to map, enumerate, or probe the platform’s data structure, endpoints, or internal logic by systematic requests.
  • Automated access that places unreasonable load on our systems, even if each individual request would be individually permitted, is prohibited.

We employ technical measures to detect and block automated abuse. Circumventing these measures is itself a breach of these Terms and may constitute an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

13. Valuations disclaimer

All caravan valuations provided through the platform are generated for informational and guidance purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, insurance, or professional advice and must not be treated as such.

We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or market suitability of any valuation. Actual values in the open market may differ materially due to factors including but not limited to caravan condition, specification, location, demand, and prevailing economic conditions.

Valuations are tied to published edition dates. Values from a previous edition may not reflect current market conditions. You are solely responsible for determining whether a valuation is appropriate for your specific purpose and for obtaining independent professional advice where required.

You use all valuations and related data at your own risk. We expressly disclaim liability for any transaction, decision, or action taken in reliance on a valuation produced by the platform.

14. Intellectual property

All content on the platform, including valuations, pricing data, algorithms, software, design, branding, and text, is owned by or licensed to Caravan Guide. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, display, or exploit any part of the platform without our prior written consent, except as permitted by applicable law or expressly allowed within these Terms.

Any unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Caravan Guide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from or in connection with use of the platform or reliance on any valuation.

Our total aggregate liability to you in respect of all claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if:

  • you breach any provision of these Terms;
  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity on your account;
  • you fail to pay any sum due to us;
  • we are required to do so by law or a regulatory authority;
  • we reasonably determine that continued access poses a risk to the platform, other users, or third parties.

On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, liability, and governing law) shall continue in full force.

We will not refund any prepaid fees following termination for breach.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice by email or by posting a prominent notice on the platform. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.

Continued use of the platform following the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the effective date.

18. Governing law & disputes

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales in respect of any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
